Corner Bookmark

I love corner bookmarks! They are a beautiful way to hold your place in that book you just had to put down.

Materials

Cotton thread

1.7mm crochet hook

Sewing needle (optional; for weaving in ends)

Notes

repeat from * to *

do not crochet in the ch 1 and ch2 spaces at the beginning of rounds

The Pattern

Ch 2

1. dc 5 in mr (5)

2. ch 2, turn, inc, dc, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc, inc (9)

3. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 3, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 3, inc (13)

4. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 5, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 5, inc (17)

5. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 7, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 7, inc (21)

6. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 9, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 9, inc (25)

7. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 11, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 11, inc (29)

8. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 13, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 13, inc (33)

9. ch 2, turn, inc, dc 15, 3 dc in the same stitch, dc 15, 3 dc in the same stitch (38)

Hdc along the base of the triangle. Fasten off the first triangle. DO NOT fasten off the

second triangle.

10. ch 1, hdc in 1 hdc on the base of triangle, hdc across both legs of the triangle, hdc in 1 hdc on the base of triangle (40)

11. ch 1, turn, * sc, hdc, dc, (exdc and tr in the same stitch) in two hdc, dc, hdc, sc * five times (40; five clusters)

Fasten off and weave in ends
