This turtle is quick and easy to crochet! It is so soft and adorable makes the perfect gift!

Materials

· 10 mm crochet hook

· Two colors of Super bulky yarn

· Large yarn needle

· Stuffing

· 14mm safety eyes


Notes

· This pattern uses two colors. If you want to use one color, ignore the color change before round 10.

· Chain 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch.


Pattern

Body

Sc 6 in mr

1. Inc around (12)

2. * sc, inc * around (18)

3. * sc 2, inc * around (24)

4. * sc 3, inc * around (30)

5. Sc around (30)

6. * sc 4, inc * around (36)

7-8. sc around (36)

9. sc around in blo (36)

Change colors. Begin crocheting in the flo of round 9.

10. * sc 4, dec * around (30)

11. *sc 3, dec * around (24)

12. * sc 2, dec * around (18)

13. * sc, dec * around (12)

Stuff the Body.

14. Dec around (6)

Fasten off, close the hole, and weave in end.

Head (with the second color from the body)

3-4. sc around (18)

5. * sc, dec * around (12)

Insert eyes between rows 3 and 4, 7 stitches apart. Stuff the head.

6. Dec around (6)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

2. Ch 1, turn, * sc, Inc * across (9)

3. Ch 1, turn, *sc 2, inc * across (12)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

1. Ch 1, turn, inc across (6)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew the head to the body, the larger fins to the front of the body, and the smaller fins to the back of the body.
